San Juan is one of the finest examples of living Spanish Colonial architecture to be found anywhere - founded over 500 years ago, the city expanded slowly, century after century, with many of the buildings having been continuously occupied ever since the original construction. Cobblestoned streets lined with 17th and 18th century town houses and a 16th century Carmelite Convent that is now a Four Star boutique hotel are on everyone's must-see list.

Within a 30 mile radius one finds a tropical rainforest, horseback riding, ATVs, Mountain biking, kayaking through a bioluminescent bay at night, a canopy tour, deep sea fishing, and a fleet of sailing catamarans for a day's outing to a deserted island.

Dining options are endless; a restored 17th century home in old San Juan, a private horse ranch Hacienda in the rainforest foothills, trendy SoFo, the Carmelite Convent's former chapel, or a themed dinner in the rainforest are all waiting for you here.
