Jackson Hole
Jackson Hole is comprised of two major "village" areas filled with a vast array of treasures and places to explore. The town of Jackson is the original settlement area and is comprised of quaint shops and eateries easily navigable by foot. "Jackson Hole" refers to the whole area or valley which is 49 miles long by 16 miles wide and surrounded by high mountains. Jackson is a popular tourism destination because of its proximity to Yellowstone & Grand Teton National Parks and for its unmatched scenic beauty and cowboy western character.
Located a scenic 12 miles northwest of Jackson are Teton Village, The Four Seasons, and the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, the largest and most popular ski area in Wyoming. With more than 4,000 vertical feet of varied terrain, the resort draws expert and beginner skiers and snowboarders alike from around the world. Situated at the base of the mountain is the Teton Village. Everything one needs is gathered together here: lodges, condominiums, restaurants, après ski bars, gift shops, groceries, storage lockers, car rentals, a skating pond, child care, personal trainers, dogsled tours and gear rentals. Have fun!
